The Logistics Planning Manager – Omni-Channel Warehouse is responsible for the proactive planning, coordination, and execution of logistics activities related to omni-channel warehouse operations. This role ensures the smooth and efficient flow of goods warehouse inbound to warehouse outbound across all processes, anticipating potential disruptions and implementing proactive solutions to maintain optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction.
This is a hybrid working role based at our head office in Düsseldorf and requires in-office days.
Your responsibilities- Warehouse Logistics Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive logistics plans for omni-channel warehouses, considering demand forecasts, inventory positioning, transportation requirements, warehousing capacity, and potential risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sourcing, Commercial planning, Warehouse, and Transportation teams to align logistics plans with overall event objectives and ensure seamless execution.
- Warehouse and Distribution Coordination: Ensure adequate warehouse capacity and efficient distribution processes are in place to support event-related volume fluctuations.
- Inventory Flow and Storage Strategy: Define inventory flow and storage strategies to accelerate speed within the warehouse.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential logistical risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse planning, such as on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and inventory accuracy. Prepare reports and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse logistics.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding warehouse plans, progress, and potential issues.
- System Utilization: Utilize relevant logistics and supply chain management systems (e.g., ERP, TMS, WMS) to plan, execute, and monitor any activities.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse planning, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within the fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and order fulfillment processes.
- Strong data affinity analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve logistical challenges.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS/TMS), preferable in fashion industry.
- Proficiency in other relevant software (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma).
