A Dev Ops Engineer in the Substation Automation Platform focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting Linux-based systems across physical and virtual environments while designing and operating CI/CD pipelines that ensure smooth, automated deployments. It also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable solutions aligned with grid-automation and cybersecurity standards, contributing to customer training, documentation, and continuous improvement of new and existing systems.

- Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems in both physical and virtualized environments
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and configuration management
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions for scalable and reliable SAS platforms
- Implement and manage disaster recovery solutions for virtual environments
- Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure SAS platforms
- Participate in customer training, documentation, and support activities
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and grid automation standards
- Contribute to the design and integration of new systems for SAS and power automation projects
- Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in Dev Ops, automation, and grid solutions
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Long term experience in production IT infrastructure management, preferably in energy, utilities, or industrial automation
- Strong expertise in GNU/Linux system administration (Ubuntu/Debian, CentOS/RHEL) and troubleshooting
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python)
- Experience with virtualization (KVM, QEMU, VMware ESXi), containers (Docker, Podman), and orchestration (Kubernetes, Open Shift)
- Familiarity with network administration (IPv4/IPv6, routing, firewall, VPN, VLAN)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation)
- Knowledge of monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus) and logging (Elastic Search, Kibana) tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to train and guide team members
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
- Willingness to learn new technologies and domains; motivation to become a specialist in automation technologies
