Your role in the Wolfpack:

We are looking for you to join our team in the Design Department at our headquarters in Idstein as a Senior Color Designer (f/m/d) as soon as possible.

Our company headquarters will relocate to Eschborn towards the end of 2026, and your primary workplace will transition to Eschborn accordingly.

  • Lead the seasonal coloration process across Apparel, Footwear and Equipment from concept creation through final execution.
  • Create color strategies and seasonal palettes aligned with Jack Wolfskin’s brand identity to elevate product desirability and ensure a cohesive visual direction across all categories and markets.
  • Translate outdoor consumer insights, sociological shifts, cultural movements and global color trends into commercially relevant seasonal color directions.
  • Drive color merchandising concepts through outfit coordination and cross‑merchandising strategies across the collection.
  • Partner closely with Merchandising and Product Management to ensure color assortments support commercial performance across wholesale, retail and digital channels.
  • Balance seasonal newness with color continuity and carry‑over strategies to support long‑term product and brand consistency.
  • Build clear and inspiring seasonal color presentations, guidelines and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment and consistency of seasonal color direction across global and regional product assortments.
  • Ensure color consistency and quality execution across materials, product categories and supplier developments in close collaboration with Material Management.
  • Continuously improve coloration processes, workflows and cross‑functional collaboration throughout the product creation process.
What you bring:
  • 7+ years experience in Color Design, preferably within the Outdoor, Sportswear or performance industry.
  • Strong understanding of color theory, material application and performance.
  • Ability to build commercially relevant and emotionally engaging color assortments.
  • Proven track record of contributing to successful commercial collections.
  • Great awareness of global markets, cultural differences and regional consumer preferences.
  • Excellent conceptual thinking and creative problem‑solving.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to translate your ideas visually and verbally.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across multiple cross‑functional and international teams.
  • Good understanding of retail, Wholesale and line planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast‑paced seasonal product calendar.
  • Experience with Coloro and/or color management systems.
  • Fluent English required, Korean or Chinese is a strong plus.
  • Passion for outdoor culture, sports and active lifestyles.
  • Ability to travel both domestic and internationally.
