• Coordination of non-production supply chain management activities for Dana in Germany.
• Directs the activities associated with the SCMG managed regional spend for designated commodity categories (Capex & Indirect)
• Realization of quality-, process- and financial targets
• Responsible for identification and evaluation of European and Plant opportunities within the commodity categories managed for reduction of spend, consolidation of supply base, function and continuity of supply.
• Assembling and managing cross-functional teams to gather data, benchmark, develop and implement non-production synergy opportunities.
• Deliver continuous improvement in cost, process and services within the commodity categories.
• Manage requests for quotation, negotiations, selection and supplier development processes.
• Responsible for contract performance.
• Timely reporting (activity status reports, financial results etc.) within the

organization

• Advising plants on market trends, risks and opportunities

Personal Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in indirect procurement and capital expenditure sourcing within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken).
• Degree or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional and international project teams in a matrix organization.
• High-level analytic, technical and communication skills
• Creative, strategic thinker with global vision
• Strong team player, able to work effectively on cross-functional teams
• Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Maintains an organized and professional manner when representing Dana.
• Willingness to travel within Europe.
• Is familiar with key cost drivers and industry related events tied to assigned category.

Technical Competency Levels

• Purchasing Strategy and Implementation Establishes a purchasing vision,

strategy and policy at plant, or regional level for the commodities assigned. Translates the strategy into realistic achievable objectives. Demonstrates awareness of wider business needs and incorporates them into purchasing plans.

• Sourcing and Category Planning Conducts purchasing portfolio analysis.

Understands positioning of key suppliers and develops appropriate sourcing strategies.

• Purchasing Project Management Has experience of completing a range of

projects on time and, at, or below budget.

• Supplier Negotiation Has an established track record and uses a range of tools such e-auctions, competitive tendering, consortia etc. Is able to quickly analyse supply market data and use this to advantage in the negotiation process.
• Tendering and Contracting Can draft contracts and understands the legal requirements of contract formulation.
• Supplier Management and Development Develops clear supplier objectives supported by measurable key performance indicators. Demonstrates a wide understanding of the major factors affecting the suppliers business.
• Purchasing Process Improvement Analyses process in supply chain to ensure optimum workflows and takes active steps to remove non-value added work. Challenges the status quo and engages help and support from other functional groups.
• Benchmarking Has a positive approach to new ideas generated from working with other departments and business.
• Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and Agreeing Contracts Develops specifications and manages wide range of structured tendering/bid processes. Demonstrates how to construct/manage complex contracts, performance indicators and service levels.
