Location: Frankfurt

Frankfurt School of Finance & Management is one of Europe’s leading business schools, recognised internationally for its rigorous and impactful research. We are committed to attracting the most talented doctoral students in Accounting, Economics, Finance and Management by offering a dynamic and intellectually stimulating academic environment.

The Doctoral Programme aims to develop strong analytical skills, teach students how to publish in top journals and enable them to build a strong global academic network. The first two years can also count toward the Master of Business Research and Analytics M.Sc. (MBRA), which is ideal if you don’t yet hold a master’s degree. This fully funded programme includes advanced courses, close faculty support, and a vibrant research environment in one of Europe’s leading business schools.

The Doctoral Programme at Frankfurt School offers four research-focused concentrations. Each concentration provides in-depth training, academic guidance and the tools needed to build a successful research career in the respective field.

The first two years of the programme consist of three types of courses, required for all students: core courses, concentration courses and electives.

Core courses: focus on analytical and methodological training across a broad spectrum of research techniques.

Concentration courses: provide deep specialisation in the student’s chosen field – Accounting, Economics, Finance or Management – and form the basis for their future research.

Electives: allow students to further develop expertise in their area of interest and may be taken at partner institutions worldwide
