We’re hiring on behalf of a mid‑sized tech powerhouse headquartered in Frankfurt. They’re not looking for another cog in the machine; they’re searching for a Linux System Engineer who lives for the command line, thrives on automation, and refuses to settle for outdated structures.

• Operate and maintain high‑availability Linux server environments
• Configure and administer MySQL clusters and replication setups
• Deploy and fine‑tune open‑source stacks (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Varnish, etc.)
• Build automation into everything with Puppet and Ansible
• Work hands‑on with KVM and other virtualisation platforms
• Drive infrastructure discussions and performance tuning
• Script, automate, and evolve using Shell, PHP, Python, Java
• Collaborate across teams:
  Hosting, Networking, Data Centre Ops

• Command‑line mastery across CentOS, Debian, RHEL
• Deep Linux system administration skills
• Advanced MySQL config, clustering and replication experience
• Familiarity with mail and web services (Postfix, Dovecot, Varnish, Apache)
• Hands‑on automation mindset:
  Puppet, Ansible
• DNS, systems infrastructure, performance, second nature

• Virtualisation chops (KVM, oVirt, RHEV)
• Container fluency (Docker, modern hosting architectures)
• Basic programming knowledge (Shell, PHP, Python, Java)
• A relevant technical or scientific degree

• A self‑starter and natural team player
