• Lead FEM‑based product optimization projects for mattresses, bed frames, and accessories.
• Develop and implement simulation strategies across the full product lifecycle – from concept to production.
• Introduce new technologies and methodologies, such as non‑linear material modeling, multiphysics simulations, or AI‑assisted optimization.
• Create detailed test plans for FEM analysis, data acquisition, model calibration, and correlation studies.
• Perform hands‑on technical tests in our in‑house lab, including mechanical testing, material analysis, and prototype validation.
• Tear down products to their core to analyze design, material properties, and structural integrity.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers during the development phase, ensuring clear technical communication, alignment on specifications, and effective issue resolution.
• Act as a subject matter expert in material properties, 3D CAD design, and FEM pre/post‑processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Ensure timely delivery of high‑quality results in line with project goals and customer expectations.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in FEM, ideally within consumer product development or soft materials.
• Advanced proficiency in FEA tools such as Abaqus, Hyper Mesh, Solid Edge; scripting experience (Python, MATLAB) is a plus.
• Strong background in complex FEM analyses: non‑linear, transient, fatigue, thermomechanical.
• Familiarity with soft materials like foam, elastomers, plastics, and gels – especially in the context of sleep products.
• Solid understanding of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and related quality and risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong critical thinking skills and a structured approach to problem‑solving.
• Excellent analytical skills and a high level of autonomy and initiative. Strong communication skills – able to convey technical insights clearly and persuasively.
• Fluent in English;
  Chinese language skills are a plus, German is beneficial.
