Sedgman and HOCHTIEF Infrastructure have been appointed as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contractor for Vulcan’s Lionheart Project, delivering an end‑to‑end solution for the Lithium Extraction Plant and Central Lithium Plant.
This marks an exciting chapter in our growth as we support major critical raw materials projects across Europe. Our team is at the forefront of delivering innovative, sustainable engineering solutions that drive the energy transition.
To support our growth, we’re looking for a Quality Manager to join our team in Frankfurt, Germany.
As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for:- Developing site‑specific procedures (where applicable)
- Reviewing existing Sedgman and Hochtief procedures and modifying them where necessary
- Reviewing and maintaining the QA Plan
- Accountability for compliance with ISO 9001, applicable EU directives, German regulations, and client quality requirements
- Oversight of quality compliance across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
- Planning and executing internal audits across all offices (Germany, Australia, Canada, etc.)
- Closing out audit findings by collating and summarising outcomes
- Facilitating site-based Management Reviews
- Compiling monthly QA reports
- Ownership of the NCR and Corrective Actions Processes
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Conducting root cause analyses of quality issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Overseeing the QA/QC process on the Project including monitoring of all Quality requirements with suppliers and contractors (including their ITPs, documentation and compliance with EU and German regulations)
- Lead the Project reporting, including all Quality KPIs and dashboards
- Interfacing with Sedgman and Hochtief Quality Management Corporate functions as needed
- 10 years of experience in medium to large projects executed in a program format (multiple projects in the portfolio) within the EPCM environment (preferably in industrial plant, or minerals processing industry), including HSEQ Management System development, implementation, and internal auditing
- Sound working knowledge of root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone, or similar)
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships while influencing and engaging key stakeholders across geographically dispersed teams
- Computer literacy, including intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with web‑based systems such as SharePoint, Synergy, or similar
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and client‑facing capabilities
- Passion for engaging at the working level to drive a quality culture and mindset within the team
- Fluency in English;
German language skills highly desirable
