WSP E&IS GmbH is currently seeking Business Unit lead for Germany at the location of Frankfurt.

YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?

As a Unit Leader, you will manage a Business Unit and report directly to the Operations Director. You play a pivotal role in operational performance, people leadership, and fostering a healthy, safe, and ethical workplace culture. This position is central to driving employee engagement, delivering successful client projects, and ensuring the Business Unit meets its financial and strategic objectives.

In this role, the Unit Leader drives business performance by implementing the Business Unit’s KPIs and setting clear annual objectives that align with the wider organizational strategy.

They oversee the financial health of the unit, championing revenue growth, profitability, and responsible cost management, while also approving budgets, timesheets, and expense reports. Operationally, the Unit Leader ensures that all staff have defined utilization goals and works closely with Project Directors, Line Leaders, and support functions to optimize project delivery, efficiency, and overall operational excellence. Maintaining strong client engagement and remaining actively involved in ongoing projects is a core expectation of the role.

Equally important is the Unit Leader’s role in fostering a positive and high performing culture. They champion a healthy, safe, and respectful working environment, upholding the highest ethical standards and ensuring compliance with all Code of Conduct and HSSE requirements. They play a central role in developing people, supporting onboarding by ensuring every new employee is assigned a mentor and reinforcing a culture where individuals feel valued, supported, and equipped to succeed.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree in a relevant field and/or 10+ years’ experience in consulting or industry.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategy, driving alignment, and achieving results.
  • Excellent English language skills.
