Technical Embedded QA Specialist

This role will focus on supporting as the Embedded QA for the teams in their tasks within our multiplayer online game, Star Citizen, and our story-driven single player epic Squadron 42. The successful person will be supporting the testing the team’s creations, as well as providing feedback and writing reports.

Support the teams by improving existing testing procedures and identifying requirements.

Verify game features, systems, and tools daily and provide feedback for the team.

Create, execute and maintain test cases on assigned projects as well as ad-hoc testing on focused areas.

Act as point of contact and liaison for QA support.

• Compose regular progress updates and reports for leadership.

Demonstrable game testing experience with advanced skills in identifying and isolating issues systemically to help with resolving problems quicker.

A strong focus/knowledge in technical areas of QA including, but not limited to;
Scripting, Game Engines, Development Tools, and an understanding of Backend Services

Knowledge of more advanced technical areas, i.e. Python, Perforce, Linux etc.

Experience with writing test cases and ownership of feature areas as well as a good knowledge of bug tracking tools, such as Jira.

Ability to stay organized and motivated to meet specific deadlines.
