Aboutour Business Unit and Cluster
This role is part of the Western Europe Cluster within the Europe & Africa (EAF) Business Unit. This Cluster promotes and sells Club Med resorts. We target individual (FIT) and corporate (MICE) clients through both direct (web, call center) and indirect (trade) sales channels.
Job OverviewAs the Senior Accountant for Club Med Germany, you will play an important role in the Western Europe Clusters' Finance team. Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager based in Belgium, you will oversee the accounting operations for the German legal entities. This role offers an unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health and success of Club Med in Germany.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting- Prepare and oversee accurate monthly, quarterly, half-year, and annual financial reports in compliance with IFRS, and internal standards.
- Manage the monthly closing process, ensuring timely submission and accuracy. Prepare consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements, including VAT, corporation tax and payroll.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure adherence to best practices and timely reporting.
- Managing AP/AR functions, cash flow, and bank reconciliations, including intercompany.
- Work closely with the Finance and Administration, manager to develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Partner with the HR provider to ensure accurate and efficient payroll management
- Collaborate with the HQ on general accounting improvements
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, increase efficiency, and improve internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations) to drive alignment on financial objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS; experience with French GAAP is a plus.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, BFC) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English. German is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
