We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientist with a strong background in cardiovascular research and screening technologies to join our growing team in Göttingen. In this role, you will lead the development of advanced cardiac screening assays, manage internal and client-facing projects, and play a critical role in the interpretation of data to support decision-making in drug development projects.

Lead the development and implementation of cardiac screening assays for both internal research and external client projects

Oversee and manage multiple parallel research and development projects

Plan, design, and supervise experimental workflows – with a focus on data analysis and interpretation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including laboratory technicians, project managers, and external stakeholders

Ensure project milestones, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are met

Contribute to scientific discussions, support strategic decision-making and work closely with C-level executives

Experience

At least 2 years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry

Hands-on experience with DOE and HTS, uHTS or HCS screening technologies

Familiarity with organoids or microphysiological systems (MPS)

Background

M.Sc or PhD in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field

Proven track record in cardiovascular research and/or development of cardiac assays

Training

Strong project management and organizational skills with a high attention to detail

Certification as project lead or Biosafety Officer (gem. § 28 Abs. 2 S. 1 , Abs. 5 GenTSV) is highly desirable

Always critical of your own results to ensure scientific accuracy and avoid misinterpretation

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
German is a strong plus
