At Sidekick Health, we build digital health products that empower people to live healthier lives and take an active role in their treatment. As a Senior Product Designer (Rx), you’ll work at the intersection of healthcare, behaviour change and technology, creating product experiences that make a meaningful difference for patients.
Your role goes beyond traditional UX/UI design. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical and fellow designers, you’ll be involved throughout the entire product development lifecycle – from discovery and user research to validation, design and delivery. You’ll understand user problems, challenge assumptions and use research and data not just to design solutions well, but tomake sure we’re building the right solutions in the first place.
Because our products are used by patients as part of their treatment, usability, accessibility and patient safety are at the heart of how we design. You’ll succeed in this role by becoming a strategic yet hands-on product partner, turning user insights into informed product decisions and creating measurable improvements for both our users and our products.
Your responsibilities Product Discovery- Plan and lead user research with patients, healthcare professionals and other relevant stakeholders.
- Partner with Product Managers to identify and prioritise meaningful user and customer problems.
- Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into product opportunities and validate concepts through interviews, prototypes and usability testing.
- Challenge assumptions and champion evidence-based product decisions.
- Design intuitive end-to-end experiences across web and mobile, from user flows and wireframes to prototypes and high-quality interfaces.
- Balance user needs with business goals and clinical, regulatory and technical requirements.
- Work closely with Engineering throughout implementation to ensure a high-quality final product experience.
- Apply usability engineering principles throughout the product development lifecycle and contribute to the required documentation for regulated medical device software.
- Design with accessibility, patient safety and regulatory requirements in mind from the outset.
- Partner with Clinical and Regulatory to translate complex requirements into clear and intuitive user experiences.
- Contribute to the evolution of our Design System and ensure consistency across products and platforms.
- Think beyond individual features to improve complete user journeys and service experiences.
- Act as a close product partner to Product, Engineering, Clinical and Regulatory, actively bringing the user and design perspective into product decisions.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative discovery and design sessions, and communicate design decisions clearly and confidently.
- Support other designers through feedback and mentoring, while helping evolve our design processes and ways of working.
- Several years of experience designing complex digital products across the entire product development lifecycle, from discovery to delivery
- Excellent skills in
UX, interaction and visual design
