Overview
We’re building the digital backbone of one of Europe’s most essential and fast-evolving industries: construction. As our platform scales across the continent, reliability, performance, and automation have become mission-critical — and that’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/d) to help architect, secure, and optimise the infrastructure that keeps our B2B platform running smoothly. This is your chance to shape systems that enable sustainable construction, smarter logistics, and cleaner material flows across thousands of active sites.
Our focus is sustainability through technology — less waste, more recycling, lower emissions. Your work will help us move an entire industry toward a smarter, cleaner future.
- Build and operate a reliable, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS-focused)
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability systems that keep us ahead of issues—not reacting to them
- Develop automated solutions to reduce toil, streamline deployments, and improve system resilience
- Collaborate with engineers across backend, frontend, and product to ensure infrastructure supports evolving business needs
- Own incident response processes and drive postmortem culture focused on learning, not blame
- Improve CI/CD pipelines to increase release safety and delivery speed
- Design and evolve our microservice infrastructure, contributing to container orchestration, networking, scalability, and cost-efficiency
- Help define SRE best practices and mentor engineers on reliability, performance, and operational excellence
- Several years of professional experience as an SRE, Dev Ops Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services, containerisation, and serverless environments (ECS, Lambda, Fargate, etc.)
- Strong infrastructure-as-code skills (Terraform, CDK, or similar)
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, modern deployment workflows, and cloud-native architectures
- Ability to design scalable and resilient microservice environments
- Strong monitoring/observability experience (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, etc.)
- Solid scripting or programming skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar)
- A problem-solving, automation-first mindset — if something can be automated, you automate it
- Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
- A product-aware mindset: reliability and performance are not abstract concepts—they are user experience
- A meaningful role in transforming a traditional industry toward sustainability and efficiency
- Competitive compensation package, pension contributions, and private health additions
- Flexibility: 3–4 core days in our Hamburg office, with openness to adjust based on your personal or family needs
- Perks that make life easier: bike leasing, gym membership, Deutschland-Ticket, and employee discounts
- A modern tech setup that enables you to experiment, learn, and build at a high level
- A humble, collaborative team that enjoys solving real-world problems together
- A workplace with purpose: help digitise and decarbonise the construction sector at scale
If you want to use your SRE expertise to build reliable systems that enable a greener, more efficient construction industry, this is your opportunity. Help us shape a platform that moves materials, reduces waste, and supports the infrastructure of tomorrow. Let’s build better infrastructure—together.
