Senior Quality Assurance Manager (m/w/d) – Discovery & Consideration (onsite in Hamburg or Berlin)

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d) to join the App & Web Team at ABOUT YOU, working onsite in Hamburg or Berlin. This role focuses on testing the discovery & consideration experience in our mobile app.

• Perform high‑quality manual testing for the ABOUT YOU Mobile App, covering the entire customer journey.
• Partner with the QA team to establish and maintain a test automation framework

• Collaborate closely with app developers to understand project requirements and contribute insights on testing strategies.
• Oversee the quality of the application and help create a strong user experience.
• Take ownership of bug reports or tickets from internal and external stakeholders, prioritise them based on business value, and ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of ABOUT YOU’s long‑term automated testing strategy.
• Coordinate app release tasks and perform regression testing.
• Advocate for product quality within the cross‑functional team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate testing efforts to ensure high‑quality feature delivery.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality assurance, testing, and debugging of frontend applications, preferably mobile apps and large‑scale projects.
• Proficient in manual testing techniques, including exploratory and destructive testing, as well as automated testing.
• Familiar with process and ticketing tools such as Jira and Confluence for effective collaboration.
• Strong knowledge and experience with testing tools, particularly Test Rail, for efficient test management and reporting.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical systems, enabling efficient testing and debugging activities.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on test case design, business value, and user experience.
• Passion for delivering innovative features quickly while maintaining high reliability standards.
• Experience working with agile methodologies and instilling a quality mindset in an agile environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
