Aboutthe Role
We sincerely invite a doctoral expert with a strong academic background and an industry perspective to join us, to jointly overcome industry technical bottlenecks and define the standards for the next generation of cutting tools.
Responsibilities- Technology strategy and innovation planning:
Lead the formulation of the company's medium- and long-term technology roadmap, focusing on cutting-edge areas such as metal cutting tool materials (such as ultra-hard coatings, hard alloys, metal ceramics, etc.), microstructure design, interface science, and failure mechanisms, and plan forward-looking research and development projects. - Advanced technology research:
Lead the team to overcome key core technologies, including but not limited to: - Development of new high-performance/multi-functional (wear-resistant, heat-resistant, oxidation-resistant) coating materials and deposition processes (such as PVD, CVD, ALD).
- Design of tool substrate materials and optimization of preparation processes (such as fine-grained/ultra-fine-grained hard alloys, gradient materials, composite materials).
- Innovations in tool geometry structure, surface texture and strengthening technologies.
- Simulation of cutting processes, monitoring of wear, and construction of life prediction models.
- Cross-departmental collaboration and industrialization:
Transform laboratory achievements into core processes and products that can be mass-produced, collaborate closely with product, production, and quality departments, lead pilot tests and mass production introduction, and ensure the implementation of the technology. - Academic leadership and ecosystem building:
Represent the company to establish deep cooperation with top universities, research institutions, and industry organizations in China and abroad, lead major cooperative research projects; track the latest global scientific research trends and patent layout, build the company's technical barriers. - Team building and mentorship:
Form and cultivate a high-level R&D team, guide senior engineers and postdoctoral researchers, enhance the overall R&D capabilities.
- Education Background:
Holds a doctoral degree in materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, condensed matter physics, metallurgical engineering, surface engineering, etc.
- Deep research experience in metal cutting tools, tool coatings, wear-resistant materials or related fields, with a profound understanding of the intrinsic relationship between material composition, structure, process and performance.
- Proficient in at least one of the following technical directions: thin film material deposition and characterization, powder metallurgy technology, material calculation (such as first principles, finite element analysis in tool design), microscopic analysis techniques (such as SEM, TEM, EBSD, XRD, etc.).
- Those with successful industrialization experience are preferred.
- As the first author or corresponding author, published multiple academic papers in high-level international journals in the relevant field; those with authorized invention patents are preferred.
- Outstanding ability to solve complex problems and systematic thinking, with an ultimate pursuit of technology.
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, project management and team leadership skills.
- Excellent written and oral expression skills in both Chinese and English, capable of conducting international academic and technical exchanges.
