Head of Commercial & Procurement; m​/f​/d

Your mission

Nordic Cruise Management manages expedition cruise ships worldwide. To strengthen our team, we are seeking a Head of Commercial & Procurement (m/f/d) who, in addition to having overall responsibility for technical procurement, will further develop the company's commercial processes and serve as the central point of contact between Procurement, Accounting, Technical Management, and Executive Management.

• Technical and organizational management of technical procurement
• Implementation and continuous optimization of modern procurement and sourcing software
• Responsibility for price, contract, and framework agreement negotiations with international suppliers
• Establishment and further development of an efficient supplier network
• Optimizing the interfaces between Purchasing, Accounting, and Technical Management
• Ensuring efficient invoice verification and approval processes
• Supporting executive management in budget planning, cost control, and liquidity planning
• Analyzing purchasing metrics and developing measures for sustainable cost reduction
• Managing tenders and technically complex procurement processes
• Providing commercial support for new construction, renovation, and shipyard projects

• A successfully completed degree in economics or comparable business training
• Several years of leadership experience in technical procurement, ideally in the maritime industry
• In-depth knowledge of procurement, contract management, cost control, and business processes
• Experience in implementing or optimizing ERP, procurement, or procure-to-pay systems
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a high degree of initiative
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft 365
• Business-level proficiency in German and English
