• Guide the team through complex technical challenges, breaking down large projects into manageable tasks and ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery of new e‑commerce features.
• Mentor and coach Frontend Developers and QA Engineers, helping them grow their technical skills and advance their careers.
• Act as the key technical partner to the Teamlead Product to align engineering effort with business goals, product vision, and user experience requirements.
• Serve as the primary technical contact person for the team and maintain clear alignment with Tech Leads from other teams regarding shared backend architecture, API schemas, and integration contracts.
• Define and communicate the technical roadmap and architecture for the ABOUT YOU website application, ensuring scalability, performance, and security, especially during peak e‑commerce traffic.
• Ensure the team’s technical strategy and delivery methods are aligned with the overall vision set by the App & Web Tech Lead.
• Own monitoring and optimization of the website’s Core Web Vitals and overall application performance, collaborating with operations to ensure high availability and fast load times.
• Take technical ownership of the website application, ensuring short‑ and long‑term maintainability, technology stack health, and adherence to company‑wide standards.
• Actively participate in hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new engineering talent.
• Research, evaluate, and propose new technologies and tools that can improve the customer experience or development efficiency.
• Proactively identify and prioritize technical debt with the Product Lead, balancing feature development and platform longevity.

• 6+ years of programming experience in UI or Web development.
• First experience of leading a discipline or professional team is a plus.
• Exceptional problem‑solving and algorithmic thinking skills, with a deep understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles.
• Expert‑level knowledge and practical experience building modern, scalable web applications using React, Type Script, and advanced CSS/styling techniques.
• Proven experience in analyzing and optimizing website performance, including deep knowledge of browser rendering, bundling, and techniques to achieve Best‑in‑class Core Web Vitals, using tools such as Data Dog or similar.
• Good understanding of API design principles (e.g., REST, Graph
  
  QL) and experience architecting robust, efficient data flow between front‑end and back‑end services.
• Good working knowledge of Node.js for modern front‑end tool chains, build processes, and potential BFF services.
• Demonstrated ability to define and implement a robust testing strategy across unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Hands‑on experience maintaining CI pipelines for continuous code quality and stable releases.
• Act as a mentor who inspires engineers to prioritize continuous growth and learning while maintaining high team productivity.
• Demonstrate proactive self‑drive and full accountability for the team’s commitments, technical outcomes, and continuous improvement.

• Experience managing or deeply understanding the nuances of hosting your own application infrastructure (e.g., cloud providers, containerization).
