Necessary skills and qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Cloud Backend Engineer with any backend technology
Proven engineering background with a strong motivation to grow into a Solution Architect position
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services (AKS, ACR, VNETs, Storage, Monitoring, Entra ) and active participation in developing microservices architectures with containerised workloads
Understanding of cloud capacity planning and cost optimisation (TCO profiling)
Readiness to propose alternative architectural approaches based on ready‑made components
Ability to design solutions based on ready‑made cloud components and propose them as alternative options to meet customer needs
In‑depth understanding of security‑by‑design principles, including encryption, zero‑trust networking, and secure service‑to‑service communication
Strong potential to lead technical discussions and present technical solutions to both internal teams and customers
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to balance business requirements, compliance, and technical feasibility
At least B1/B2 proficiency in German (conversational)
Upper‑Intermediate level of English proficiency
Prior experience as a Cloud Architect or Solution Architect (Will be a plus)
Practical experience building IoT solutions, including telemetry, connectivity, and reliability constraints, firmware lifecycle management, OTA updates, and device fleet management
Familiarity with GDPR and ISO 27001 compliance requirements
Proficiency in SDLC and V‑model development
Experience with design control and requirements traceability in compliance with regulatory standards
Azure certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑204, AZ‑305
