With a fleet of 313 modern container ships and a total transport capacity of 2.5 million TEU, Hapag‑Lloyd is one of the world's leading liner shipping companies. In the Liner Shipping segment, the Company has around 14,000 employees and 400 offices in 140 countries. Hapag‑Lloyd has a container capacity of 3.7 million TEU – including one of the largest and most modern fleets of reefer containers.

A total of 133 liner services worldwide ensure fast and reliable connections between more than 600 ports on all the continents. In the Terminal & Infrastructure segment, Hapag‑Lloyd has equity stakes in 21 terminals in Europe, Latin America, the United States, India and North Africa. Around 3,000 employees are assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations in addition to the terminal activities.

As Director Yield & Cross‑Trade Optimization, you will assume a key position within Hapag‑Lloyd's Central Yield Management and take responsibility for the strategic direction of our global yield optimisation. In this challenging leadership role, you will develop innovative approaches to revenue maximisation and create the foundation for sustainable business success through your visionary leadership. You will work in a dynamic, international environment and have the opportunity to directly influence company results through your expertise and strategic thinking.

You will benefit from collaboration with highly qualified professionals and support from state‑of‑the‑art analytical tools.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of professionals consisting of Yield Optimisation Managers and Yield Performance Managers
  • Develop and implement the company‑wide yield optimisation strategy in alignment with Trade Management objectives
  • Manage cross‑functional yield improvement initiatives and prioritise based on business impact
  • Oversee cross‑trade optimisation, particularly for space negotiations
  • Ensure transparency and consistency in yield reporting, analytics, and steering processes
  • Drive digitalisation and continuous improvement of yield performance management
  • Promote best practice sharing and capability building in yield management across trades
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise overall returns
  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline; postgraduate degree preferred
  • Extensive leadership experience with proven track record in developing managers and specialists
  • Multi‑year expertise in performance management, revenue management, or trade management, ideally in shipping, logistics, or related industries
  • Strong analytical thinking and experience working with large datasets and performance management tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and relationship building across all organisational levels
  • Assertive personality with ability to challenge the status quo and drive change with persistence
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset
  • Strong communication skills and target‑oriented mindset for collaboration in international teams
