Compliance Manager – Investigations

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for key risk areas such as bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, fraud, antitrust/competition law, anti-money laundering, supply chain compliance and export control
• Lead and conduct internal investigations in cases of suspected misconduct, including conducting interviews, analyzing documents and preparing investigation reports
• Perform non-incident-driven compliance checks as an integral part of the Internal Control System (ICS) and develop standard procedures and policies
• Maintain and further develop the whistle blower system, ensuring confidentiality and professional case handling
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and interface areas such as Corporate Audit and Risk Management
• Manage external service providers such as audit firms and law firms to ensure the structured resolution of compliance incidents
• Document cases and report to the Compliance Officer, Investigation & Risk Detection

• University degree in business, law or a related field with a focus on compliance and internal investigations
• At least 4 years of professional experience conducting investigations—ideally in an international industrial or banking environment, or at an international law firm or audit firm
• Solid knowledge of anti-corruption, antitrust/competition law, anti-money laundering (AML), supply chain compliance and the use of eDiscovery tools
• Integrity, independence and ethical leadership—even under pressure and in challenging situations
• Strong communication skills and empathy to clearly convey complex information and to handle stakeholders sensitively
• Strategic and analytical thinking to derive sustainable measures and assess complex matters
• Strong understanding of business processes and commercial awareness, as well as very good MS Office skills
• Fluent German and English; ideally an additional language (particularly Spanish, Portuguese or Mandarin)
• Discretion and the ability to work in a team to ensure confidential collaboration and protection of all parties involved
• Resilience and stress tolerance; interest in building a case management system and experience handling regulatory inquiries and proceedings
