** Heidelberg Materials is looking for a suitable person to fulfil the role of Maintenance Supervisor.
**** Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this role is based at the Williamsdale Quarry.
** Williamsdale Quarry is a large volume Dacite Quarry south of Canberra, supplying both internal & external customers. Supported by an experienced Quarry Manager, your core focus is to provide leadership and direction to the maintenance staff and maintenance contractors.
** This hands-on role is in a complex and dynamic operation with a numerous projects ongoing and planned for the near future. It will suit an experienced person looking for new challenges.
**** The primary job focus and responsibilities are:
*** Accountability of all aspects of quarry maintenance, fixed and mobile equipment
* Overall supervision of maintenance staff and maintenance contractors
* Maintain high plant availability
* Disciplined cost control, through avoidance of waste
* Drive continuous improvement
* Leadership of a safe work environment
* Collaborative support for the quarry team
* A keen interest in process efficiency and improvement
* Well-developed operational skills in your current role
* Good computer literacy
* An aptitude for problem solving
* The skills to motivate your team and work within a management group
