We are looking for a Software Developer – Qt/C++ (m/f/d) to support our development team in Heidelberg as soon as possible, on a fixed‑term basis (9 months) as parental leave cover.

• Design and development of user interfaces with Qt Widgets and QML: implementation of modern, user‑friendly UIs that support complex technical workflows
• Collaboration in software architecture: contribution to a modular, scalable and maintainable software structure in close cooperation with senior developers
• Implementation of technical requirements: translation of product and user requirements into robust, efficient and testable software solutions
• Team collaboration and coordination: active exchange with other developers to ensure high code quality and consistent development practices
• Code reviews and quality assurance: participation in code reviews, implementation of automated tests and improvement of development standards
• Cross‑functional communication: regular coordination with product owners and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals

• Experience in frontend development with Qt and C++: proven track record in developing complex software systems with a focus on UI
• Strong software engineering skills: solid understanding of design principles, clean code, and maintainable software architecture
• Practical experience with software testing: confident in designing, writing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, system)
• Hands‑on experience with Git Lab, CMake and CI/CD pipelines: confident in managing build systems, repositories and automated workflows
• Strong communication and collaboration skills: ability to communicate technical topics clearly and work constructively in a team
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus
• Structured, independent, and quality‑focused way of working
