Toolchain Wearable Computing E13

We are offering a PhD position focused on developing tool chains to accelerate research and development in Wearable Computing. We currently are developing two tool chains: for data collection and machine learning for wearable computing, and for Chat-based hardware design automation. Candidates should have a Master's degree in computer science or a related field with a strong background in ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Tensor Flow), and/or on hardware design.

In both cases excellent programming skills and system development skills are required.

TECO at KIT is offering a full-time doctoral position focusing on research, development, and application of tool chains for Wearable Computing. Includes tools for data-driven research (EdgeML), machine learning, and wearable device design. Evaluation with realistic applications and data.

• Either strong background in machine learning and frameworks:
  PyTorch, Keras, Tensor Flow, scikit-learn, pandas or hardware development or both
• Advanced programming skills and experience with tool chains and/or wearables and/or hardware design automation
• Master’s degree in CS or related program (EE etc.)
• Advantageous: advanced programming, prior start-up experience, hardware design, scientific publications
• Interest in ubiquitous/wearable computing and AI and hardware research
