You will be the first dedicated Quality Engineer ensuring that our entire biorobotics pipeline — from the insect‑mounted hardware to the cloud data platform — is reliable, safe, and production‑ready.

You’ll design and run tests across:

• Embedded hardware & bio‑integrated backpacks
• Wireless communication and edge systems
• Frontends

You will build a systematic testing culture: scalable test plans, regression suites, integration tests, system tests, hardware‑in‑the‑loop setups, and automated quality gates for everything from edge devices to cloud pipelines.

You’re an engineering generalist with strong QA fundamentals and the curiosity and courage to test systems that have no precedent.

• 3+ years in QA engineering, test automation, or systems quality roles.
• Experience testing distributed systems (hardware + embedded + cloud).
• Strong familiarity with messaging systems
  , wireless communication, or IoT systems.
• Experience with Cloud Computing (ideally AWS).
• Experience with Linux‑based edge systems and containerized workloads.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills across network, system, and application layers.
• Comfortable building test harnesses
  , scripts, and automated pipelines.
• A systematic approach to quality.
• Excited to work hands‑on with physical systems
  .

• Experience with computer vision
  , motion tracking, or sensor calibration.
• Exposure to robotics
  , autonomous systems, or hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• QA experience in both UI and backend/infra contexts.
• Understanding of biological systems (not required, but helpful and very cool).
