FERRING GmbH is the German manufacturing company of the internationally operating and rapidly growing FERRING Group. At our site in Kiel, around 550 employees manufacture important pharmaceutical products for the fields of reproductive medicine, endocrinology, urology, pediatrics, and gastroenterology. Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d)

For our Supply Chain Management department, we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d) to join our team as soon as possible. This is a permanent full‑time position based at our manufacturing site in Kiel. The Supply Chain Management department serves as the central link between Manufacturing, Quality, Global Supply Chain, and our customers. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring a reliable supply of pharmaceutical products by translating demand into executable plans while balancing inventory, capacity, and customer requirements.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the organization and contribute to the continuous development of our processes in an international manufacturing environment. Join us in shaping the future of pharmaceutical supply.

Your contribution to making a meaningful impact

End‑to‑End Supply Planning

  • Manage the end-to-end supply planning process for assigned portfolio, ensuring reliable product availability while balancing service, inventory, and capacity.
  • Translate customer demand into feasible plans in close collaboration with Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain.
  • Develop and maintain mid- and long‑term Master Production Schedules (MPS) to optimize line utilization.
  • Utilize SAP, Kinaxis Maestro, Power BI, and other KPI tools to improve transparency and support data‑driven decision‑making.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Act as the primary interface between Manufacturing, Visual Inspection, Quality Control, and Global Supply Chain.
  • Coordinate batch progress throughout the manufacturing process and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and participate in cross‑functional planning and decision‑making meetings.
Your qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably within Supply Planning in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into business decisions.
  • Proven ability to identify risks, solve problems proactively, and prioritize in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence decision‑making.
  • Structured, solution‑oriented, and customer‑focused working style with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience with SAP S/4

    HANA and SAP ePP/DS and Kinaxis Maestro is preferred.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
