Scientific Project Specialist; mfd Focus NGS

Overview

Ready for an exciting biotech startup. We are a startup in the field of genetic diagnostics. Our mission is to improve the lives of people with cancer by developing and providing tools to better understand and manage cancer. We achieve this by using liquid biopsies to identify a patient’s individual genetic cancer signature through a blood sample and tracking it throughout the course of their disease.

Your task will be to support us in our mission with your expertise in NGS applications and / or analysis of DNA / RNA.

• Design, organize and execute wet-lab experiments to support project goals as well as routine analyses
• Develop and implement new methods and protocols in the field of Liquid Biopsies
• Standardize and automate processes
• Maintain and develop our quality management system by taking ownership of processes and writing relevant standard documentations
• Support project management activities

We look for a relevant degree or equivalent working experience. We expect the desire to work in a young and dynamic company where you can be part of shaping its future.

• Hands‑on experience with common NGS methods (Illumina sequencing library preparation protocols) or experience in the development and use of other DNA / RNA analysis techniques (qPCR, dPCR, capillary electrophoresis)
• Experience in NGS diagnostics or the development of NGS‑based methods
• Experience working in a quality managed setting (e.g. ISO
  15189, GMP or similar); deeper QM‑expertise is a plus
