Senior Payroll Specialist; m​/f​/x

Your mission

• Coordinate and manage monthly payroll processing together with external payroll providers.
• Review payroll data for accuracy, completeness and compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Maintain employee master data and all payroll-related documentation.
• Process salary adjustments, bonuses, allowances, variable compensation and other payroll-relevant changes.
• Manage payroll-related onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding payroll, wage tax and social security matters.
• Coordinate with tax authorities, social security institutions and external service providers.
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations and analyses for HR and Finance.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Drive the continuous improvement and digitalisation of payroll processes.
• Support international payroll projects and contribute to the implementation of standardized payroll processes across Europe.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour law, tax and social security regulations.

• Successfully completed vocational training or a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in payroll administration.
• Sound knowledge of German payroll, wage tax and social security legislation.
• Practical experience with
  DATEV Payroll or comparable payroll systems.
• Experience working with external payroll providers.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented working style.
• High level of discretion, reliability and integrity.
• Excellent German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
