Meet the Voice Team

The Voice team, founded just two years ago, is a dynamic track bringing together multiple teams across Research, Product Engineering, and Design. We’re defining the art of the possible for real‑time voice interpretation and have successfully launched our first customer‑facing features in late 2024. We are scaling up with applications designed for major meeting platforms, real‑time communication channels, and a powerful Public API.

Your

Responsibilities
  • Design and build full‑stack features:
    Own end‑to‑end problems, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ship scalable, user‑facing features with real impact.
  • Maintain and improve systems:
    Take shared ownership of our existing systems, ensuring they stay performant, maintainable, and reliable as we grow.
  • Ensure code quality and clarity:
    Participate in thoughtful code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and help raise the bar for engineering excellence across the team.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally:
    Work closely with teammates across disciplines to ensure we’re solving the right problems and delivering real value to users.
  • Adapt and grow:
    Stay curious and keep up with evolving tools and technologies—learning quickly and applying new skills when needed.
  • Participate in our on‑call rotation:
    Ensure the reliability and availability of our services by being available to join the team's shared on‑call rotation as needed.
Qualities We Look For
  • Strong product engineering mindset:
    Care deeply about solving real user problems and balance pragmatism with technical rigor when designing systems.
  • Full‑stack fluency:
    Comfortable working across the stack, even if strengths lean more towards backend or frontend. Have solid foundations in system design and understand how to ship production systems.
  • Engineering foundations:
    Strong software engineering skills—clean abstractions, robust data modeling, sound architectural decisions—and know how to make things scale.
  • Collaborative communicator:
    Clear communicator, active listener, and team player. Thrive in a collaborative environment and welcome feedback.
  • Growth‑oriented:
    Eager to learn, open to new challenges, and not afraid to work with unfamiliar languages or tools when the problem demands it.
