Golang Developer (German Speaking) | Germany | Hybrid

Join a leading IT consulting and systems integration company that delivers software engineering, cloud transformation, and digitalization projects for enterprise and public sector organizations across Germany. You'll become part of a growing Go development practice, working on challenging customer projects and helping drive the adoption of modern cloud-native technologies.

While many development teams focus on Java-based solutions, this role offers a unique opportunity to become a key contributor within a dedicated Golang team and influence the evolution of future projects. Cloud initiatives are primarily delivered within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

As a Golang Developer, you will combine hands-on software development with technical consulting responsibilities, working closely with customers to design and deliver high-quality solutions. This is a senior-level engineering position with mentoring responsibilities, but it is not an Architect role.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Golang
• Build scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions for enterprise customers
• Participate in customer workshops and technical discussions
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Mentor and support junior developers
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices
• Work across multiple customer projects and industries
• Collaborate with Azure-focused cloud teams where required

• Strong commercial experience with Golang (Go)
• Previous development experience with Java or C#
• Backend development expertise
• Experience building REST APIs
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Object-Oriented Programming
• Git
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Customer-facing consulting experience
• Technical solution design experience
• 3-10 years of professional software development experience
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and customers
• Experience mentoring junior developers

• Hybrid working model with approximately 2 days onsite per week
• Client travel approximately once per month, primarily within the Cologne/Düsseldorf region
