Export & Logistics Specialist; m​/f​/d

We are currently recruiting an Export & Logistics Specialist (m/f/d) on behalf of one of our clients for their office in Cologne
. This role is ideal for someone with a background in export and logistics, for example as Speditionskaufmann, Exportsachbearbeiter, Export-Sachbearbeiter, or Logistics Coordinator, with strong expertise in export documentation and VAT.

You will manage the daily export workflow for vehicles sold via a B2B platform, ensuring all cross‑border logistics are handled efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on documentation quality.

This is not a traditional dispatch role. You will act as the export documentation and VAT expert, ensuring that every vehicle handover is supported by a complete, accurate, and audit‑ready evidence pack.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing export cases end-to-end across EU and non‑EU markets
• Coordinating vehicle collections with compounds and freight forwarders
• Preparing and validating ownership transfer and deregistration documents according to country‑specific requirements
• Compiling export evidence packs (CMR/PoD, ICMS, MRN/IE599, invoices, carrier and compound documentation)
• Producing VAT‑compliant documentation for B2B net sales and supporting non‑EU export declarations
• Performing final quality checks before closing cases in internal systems and ensuring full audit readiness
• Resolving missing or incorrect documentation with buyers, carriers, compounds, and partners
• Identifying risks early, communicating clearly in German and English, and supporting market rollout projects

• C1/C2 or business‑fluent German and English (written and spoken)
• Additional European languages are a plus (Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch),
• Hands‑on experience with export documentation for EU and/or non‑EU shipments (e.g. ownership transfer, export declarations, MRN, IE599, preference documents)
• Solid understanding of EU B2B VAT for cross‑border transactions
  , or strong motivation to develop expertise in this area
• Confident collaboration with freight forwarders, compounds, and service providers
• Vocational training or degree in forwarding, logistics, export or supply chain
• Experience in a start‑up or scale‑up environment is an advantage
