The Technical Documentation Manager is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and further development of the technical documentation required for the maintenance of rail vehicles. This includes ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and optimizing documentation processes.

Creation and Development of Maintenance Documentation

• Documentation Creation:
  
  Produce and maintain technical documentation for the maintenance of rail vehicles.
• Standards Compliance:
  
  Ensure all documentation adheres to current legal and regulatory standards.

Implementation and Integration of Changes

• Change Documentation:
  
  Implement and document changes in maintenance documentation based on new findings, regulations, or customer requirements.
• Actuality:
  
  Ensure the accuracy and currency of all technical documentation.

Support during Validation Phases

• Validation Support:
  
  Assist and monitor validation processes to ensure proper implementation and documentation of changes.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with quality assurance teams and other relevant departments during validation phases.

Work in an XML-Based Editorial System

• System Usage:
  
  Create and edit documentation within an XML-based editorial system: COSIMA
• Technology Utilization:
  
  Use modern techniques and tools to optimize documentation processes.

Coordination with Internal Stakeholders

• Process Optimization:
  
  Collaborate closely with internal departments to improve the quality and efficiency of technical documentation.
• Optimization Potential:
  
  Identify and implement optimization opportunities in documentation processes.

Coordination with Translation Service Providers

• Translation Management:
  
  Coordinate and oversee the translation of technical documentation into various languages.
• Quality Assurance:
  
  Ensure the quality and consistency of translated documents in collaboration with external translation service providers.

Completed studies in Technical Documentation, Engineering, Technical Communication, Technical Writing, or a comparable qualification.

Several years of professional experience in the creation and management of technical documentation, ideally in the maintenance of rail vehicles or a comparable industrial environment. Experience with Cosima (Docu Fy) would be beneficial.

Knowledge
In-depth knowledge of ECM requirements according to EU Regulation 2019/779, as well as relevant standards and regulations.

Technical Skills
Experience with XML-based editorial systems and other documentation tools.

Soft Skills
Strong analytical abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a structured approach to work.

Communication
Excellent communication skills in both German and English.

Teamwork Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and external service providers.
