Head of IT; m/f/x

Operations Leipzig, Saxony, Germany Full-time Lead level

A Head of IT typically leads the whole IT function: systems, networks, security, and support. Strong candidates bring years of hands on IT leadership, vendor management, and a record of keeping critical systems running. At an energy storage maker, that means supporting both office teams and the industrial systems behind supercapacitors and Super Batteries.

AI changes IT leadership by automating monitoring, patching, and helpdesk triage, so the role shifts toward architecture, risk, and vendor choices. Human judgment stays central for security trade offs, uptime during production, and guiding people through change. The work becomes less about fixing routine faults and more about designing resilient systems.

This role builds AI experience by selecting and running AI based monitoring and service tools across a manufacturing and office estate. It also means setting rules for data use and access when AI tools touch operational systems. That mix of hands on deployment and governance is valuable for any future IT leadership role.

• IT leadership at scale
• Security and compliance
• Vendor and budget control
• Automation and monitoring tools
