Your mission
Join aevoloop, a deep-tech startup in Leipzig, where we are pioneering the next generation of circular plastics. We are looking for a hands‑on CTA or Lab Technician who takes pride in lab excellence, excels at synthesis, and wants to take responsibility for both the "making" (synthesis) and the "measuring" (analytics) of next‑generation materials.
Synthesis & Scale‑up:
Perform synthesis (specifically polycondensation) on lab‑scale to kg‑scale. We will train you on our specific polymer systems, but you bring a solid synthetic chemistry foundation.Lab Routine & Excellence:
You are the technical "heart" of the lab. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of glass apparatus, reactors, vacuum systems, and thermostats.Analytics & Testing:
You take ownership of material characterization. This includes routine titration, material drying/processing, and thermal/mechanical testing (e.g., MFI, DSC and tensile testing).Precision & Documentation:
You ensure our data is bulletproof. This involves regular calibration of analytical devices, maintaining detailed lab journals, and drafting clear SOPs.Safety & Organization:
You maintain a safe, high‑standard working environment (GLP), ensuring that equipment is always ready for the next run.
Education:
Successfully completed chemical technical apprenticeship (Chemical Technical Assistant, Chemical Technician) or
B. Sc. or
B. chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer engineering, polymer chemistry or a related field. Practical lab experience is our priority, while academic degrees are considered, this is a hands‑on technical role.Synthesis
Experience:
Solid experience in organic synthesis. Familiarity with polymers or high‑temperature/high‑pressure reactors is a significant advantage, if you don t have it yet, we are happy to train you.Technical Routine:
You are "at home" in the lab. You are confident in titration, pH measurement, equipment calibration, and the troubleshooting of vacuum and heating systems.Analytical Interest:
Ideally, you have experience (or a strong desire to learn) material testing methods like MFR (Melt Flow Rate), DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry), or mechanical testing.Mindset:
You have a "maker" mentality. You are detail‑oriented, reliable, and enjoy the dynamic, collaborative energy of a scaling startup.Languages:
Working knowledge of English (sufficient for technical documentation and team communication). German is a plus but not a requirement.
Real Impact: Help redesign plastics for a truly circular economy.
Startup Mindset: Flat hierarchies, fast decisions and early responsibility as we scale.
Team Culture: Join a team of curious minds that challenge each other, collaborate openly and celebrate progress together.
Growth & Learning: Steep learning curves, regular feedback and room to grow with the company.
Well‑being Perks: Hansefit membership and fresh fruit boost your overall health and well‑being.
