To support this vision, we are building a growing Data & AI Delivery Team and establishing a modern, scalable data and AI platform that connects business-critical data across functions and enables innovative AI solutions at enterprise scale.

To strengthen this newly evolving team, we are looking for an experienced AI Engineer / Architect who combines strong technical expertise with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset. In this role, you will help design, deliver, and operationalize AI solutions that create tangible business value across the organization.

Your Contribution Design and implement scalable AI and data solutions that support strategic business objectives and operational excellence across SCHOTT Pharma Drive the architecture, delivery, and operationalization of custom-built AI use cases from ideation to productive deployment

Translate complex business challenges into pragmatic, cost-efficient, and scalable AI solutions

Provide technical leadership for AI initiatives and contribute to shaping SCHOTT Pharma's long-term AI roadmap and architecture landscape

Guide and challenge external implementation partners and consultants to ensure high-quality delivery and sustainable solutions

Contribute to the development of a modern enterprise data and AI platform, establishing standards, best practices, and governance approaches

Support the integration of AI capabilities into existing business processes while ensuring maintainability, scalability, and operational readiness

Monitor, optimize, and continuously improve deployed AI solutions to maximize business impact

Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and Data & Analytics to identify opportunities for innovation

Act as a trusted advisor and translator between technical teams and business stakeholders, making AI concepts accessible and actionable

Your Profile Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in AI, Data, Machine Learning, Solution Architecture, or related disciplines

Proven experience delivering AI solutions from concept through implementation and operation

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure OpenAI Services, Azure AI Foundry, or comparable hyperscaler environments

Strong programming skills, preferably in Python Experience working with data platforms, cloud architectures, and AI solution ecosystems

Knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, or related AI technologies

Familiarity with Data Engineering, MLOps, or AI Operations concepts is advantageous

Experience coordinating external vendors, implementation partners, or consulting teams

Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environments is considered a strong advantage

Ability to translate complex technical topics into business-oriented recommendations

Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, and a pragmatic hands-on mindset

Comfortable taking ownership and providing technical guidance in cross-functional environments
