This is an exciting opportunity to join the local valuation team in Singapore. The team oversees the valuation, reserving and financial reporting for Life and Health business of Munich Re Singapore branch, covering both global and local valuation bases including Solvency II, HGB, MAS and IFRS (9 and 17).
The team’s responsibilities will be a good opportunity to combine accounting, actuarial science, modelling and regulatory knowledge to ensure sufficiency of reserves and insightful financial reporting to the senior management at Munich Re.
We are seeking interns available for a full‑time commitment from May to December 2026 only – please apply only if you can commit to this period.
Your Role- Model new reinsurance treaties in AXIS.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual Solvency II (SII) reporting for Singapore operations.
- Assist with Group IFRS reporting and local IFRS (9 & 17) reporting, ensuring consistency and accuracy across reporting standards.
- Collaborate closely with the local business team to meet ad‑hoc reporting and analytical requirements.
- Work closely with external teams during regular reporting cycles.
- Support automation initiatives and process enhancements to streamline valuation workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, research and time management skill.
- Knowledge in MS Excel, VBA, SQL and/or Python is an advantage.
- Knowledge of IFRS
17 standards and/or AXIS is an advantage. - Past internship experience in valuation roles is also an advantage.
