Your mission

You will be a member of our interdisciplinary teams alongside colleagues from project management, protein production, protein crystallography, medicinal and computational chemistry.

Within these experienced teams you will be responsible for developing cellular assays to support internal and customer early drug discover projects.

You will design and execute cellular assays for in vitro profiling of small molecule ligands with various technologies (NanoBRET, NanoBiT, TR-FRET, Alpha Screen, luminescence, reporter gene activation, FLIPR and others) to demonstrate target engagement, cellular potency and selectivity.

You will work within our state‑of‑the‑art biochemistry and biophysics platform, instructing lab staff and performing experiments. You will analyse and report your results to our customers and internal project teams.

• You have a PhD degree in cellular biology or molecular biology, or a related discipline.
• Broad background knowledge in cellular and molecular biology techniques and their integration into early drug discovery programs is required, as well as solid practical experience in mammalian cell culture, cell line selection, assay development and optimisation, viability testing, Western blot and qPCR.
• You are familiar with the drug discovery process from screen to lead and have 2+ years of relevant work experience in a drug discovery environment.
• You are able to plan experiments, generate and interpret data and report to drug discovery teams. You are experienced in discussing data from neighbouring disciplines and in integrating your data into the context of drug discovery projects.
• Your positive, communicative and open personality helps you to understand other opinions, and contributes to productive project discussions with internal and customer project teams.
• Fluent English and basic German language skills are required.
