Research Associate – Bioreactor and Assay Development (Stem Cells)

Repairon Immuno GmbH is a startup with a mission to develop novel cell therapies to enable treatments of most challenging diseases. To achieve this goal, we will take advantage of induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSC) lines and our proprietary, scalable, GMP‑compliant differentiation platform as well as proprietary gene‑editing designs to generate never‑before‑seen types of cell drug products.

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Research Associate to join our team. You will play a key role in the upscaling and characterization of iPSC‑based immune cells, focusing on bioreactor operations and assay development for large‑scale manufacture.

• Maintain the regular culture of human iPSCs.
• Run 3D culture of iPSCs and their differentiation into immune cells in small‑scale and (micro) bioreactor systems.
• Set up the design of experiments (DOE) to test and optimize stage‑specific culture conditions.
• Perform phenotypic and molecular characterization of iPSCs and their derivatives by flow cytometry, PCR and ELISA.
• Perform morphological characterization of aggregates.
• Design assays for co‑culture experiments with adherent and non‑adherent cell lines such as iPSC‑derived and allogeneic immune cells.
• Perform in vitro functionality tests of differentiated cells by cytotoxicity assays.
• Oversee maintenance of the bioreactor equipment, manage orders, inventory and deliveries.

• BSc or MSc degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience with mammalian cell and human iPSC culture, including maintenance and differentiation.
• Experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques such as PCR, ELISA, immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry.
• Experience with Am  and setting DOEs is a plus.
• Experience with imaging softwares such as Image
  
  J is a plus.
• Ability to plan and execute laboratory work independently as prioritized by the manager.
• Good communication skills in English is essential;
  German is a plus.
