Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly accomplished Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) to support the Resident Manager in the overall leadership and operation of a prestigious five-star luxury resort in Kenya, which is part of a well-respected International Hospitality Group.
As the #2 executive on property
, the EAM will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and adherence to the standards of an internationally respected luxury hospitality group. The EAM will act as the Resident Manager's key operational partner and assume overall responsibility for the resort in their absence.
The successful candidate must have a strong luxury resort operations background
, with significant experience and proven strengths in either Rooms Division or Food & Beverage
, together with broad exposure to the overall resort operation.
- Support the Resident Manager in the overall strategic and operational leadership of the resort.
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of day-to-day resort operations, ensuring consistently exceptional luxury service standards.
- Drive guest satisfaction, personalization, service recovery, and relationships with VIP and international clientele.
- Lead, coach, and develop a large, multicultural management and operational team.
- Monitor operational and financial performance, budgets, productivity, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, quality assurance, health & safety, and local regulations.
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing to strengthen the resort's international positioning and commercial performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key international travel partners and luxury clientele.
- Represent the resort and luxury hospitality group with owners, guests, travel partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Act as Resident Manager in their absence.
- 10+ years of progressive luxury hotel/resort experience
, including significant senior operational leadership. - Fluent German language skills are mandatory
, both written and spoken. - Proven experience in a five-star luxury resort
; predominantly city-hotel experience is not sufficient. - International hospitality experience is mandatory
, ideally with a recognized luxury international brand or group. - Strong operational background and expertise in either Rooms Division or Food & Beverage
, with the ability to oversee the wider resort operation. - Previous experience as Executive Assistant Manager, Hotel Manager, Director of Operations, or equivalent senior position preferred.
- Strong understanding of the German luxury travel market, German-speaking clientele, travel trade, and their expectations
. - Proven experience managing multicultural teams in an international environment.
- Strong commercial, financial, and operational acumen.
- Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and guest-relations skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, cultural awareness, and executive presence.
