Stellenbeschreibung
Medical Image Data Curator (M/W/D)

LUMA Vision is a start-up based in Dublin (Ireland) and Munich (Germany) developing innovative imaging technologies to advance healthcare and solve global unmet clinical needs. We apply rigorous engineering and design to create new hardware, software and data-science technologies towards clinical procedures. Our focus is on developing sophisticated ultrasound cardiac imaging and navigation systems that provide essential real-time visualization for advanced electrophysiology and structural heart procedures, leveraging diverse technologies to transform patient care.

To drive our platform development, we are looking for a Medical Image Data Curator to join our growing team in our quest to produce high quality medical device software. You will become part of a dynamic group of innovators, shaping the future of imaging in healthcare.

Your role with us

As a Medical Image Data Curator, you will support the bridge between clinical data collection, technology development, and research applications. Your detail-oriented mindset makes you ready to own data curation workflows end-to-end, working collaboratively within the engineering team to manage the preparation of complex, large-scale cardiac datasets of 3D and 4D ultrasound and CT data. You will be responsible for running production-quality Python scripts for data processing and utilizing your medical/anatomical understanding to initialize the annotation of specialized cardiac imaging data.

Your technical and operational work will span from ensuring data integrity to processing automated ultrasound data workflows with a high-daily throughput. You will engage closely with engineering, research, and clinical teams to ensure datasets are flawlessly prepared for AI training. You are comfortable following structured workflows and maintaining rigorous documentation to ensure all data assets are well organized, secure, and ready for a regulated medical device environment.

What

you offer
  • Training as medical technologist (Medizinische Technologin, Medizinisch-Technische Assistentin) or BSc degree in biomedical engineering, medicine, medical informatics, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of Linux environments and shell commands to navigate high-throughput data processing environments.
  • Familiarity with Python, with a demonstrated ability to execute and monitor operational scripts.
  • Practical experience using specialized software tools for labelling 3D medical image data
  • Experience working in a regulated medical environment or a strong appreciation for strict data compliance practices, including rigorous documentation, verification, and focus on accuracy.
  • Hands-on, collaborative problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills in English.
  • Experience handling medical images, clinical datasets, or participating in data curation workflows is a plus.
  • Experience with medical imaging (cardiac focus and/or ultrasound is a plus)
  • Previous exposure to medical data privacy standards and compliance frameworks such as GDPR or HIPAA is a plus.
What we offer
  • Ownership of meaningful work; your precision in data curation will directly impact the performance of trained AI models that improve patient care and clinical outcomes.
  • A growing and collaborative multinational team with a strong focus on team culture and individual development
  • Access to a global network of clinical, technical, and business innovators
  • Competitive salary with participation in an employee participation scheme
  • A fully equipped, ergonomic office workspace in Munich, easily reachable by public transport

LUMA Vision is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals regardless of ethnicity, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
