Overview

Process Digitalisation Lead - Manufacturing Engineering. Our client is seeking a hands-on professional to lead process digitalisation within the manufacturing engineering team. This role combines technical leadership with practical implementation across planning systems, lean methods, and production tools.

Freelance (AUG/ANÜ)
Location: Munich (Leipzig onboarding possible)
Contract Length: 15 months
Rate: Up to €40 per hour = €83,200 per annum

You ll be responsible for guiding a small team in setting up digital tools and systems that support efficient aircraft production. The focus is on process mapping, system integration, and lean manufacturing principles.

• Lead the setup of digitalisation tools and methods for manufacturing engineering
• Map value streams and production processes across the full workflow
• Implement planning software (DELMIA) and integrate SAP processes
• Develop time study systems (e.g. MTM) and support lean manufacturing initiatives
• Contribute to building an end-to-end product delivery process
• Support the rollout of a structured production system for Deutsche Aircraft

• Knowledge of process mapping (SIPOC, EPK), moderation, and process analysis
• Experience with time management systems (MTM, performance rating, allowance times)
• Solid understanding of SAP production planning, 3DX-SAP interface, EWM, and PEO
• Familiarity with DELMIA structure and its interaction with SAP
• Good grasp of lean philosophy and systems thinking
• Fluent English required;
  German not a requirement, only a bonus
• Valid police clearance certificate required (nationality restrictions may apply)

  Day shift, Monday to Friday
• Optional home office on Fridays
• Primary location:
  Gilching (Leipzig candidates must onboard in Gilching for ~8 weeks)
