Senior Analytics Engineer

We are looking for a full-time, permanent Senior Analytics Engineer to start as soon as possible. We live remote-first, but you have the freedom to choose whether you want to work hybrid or completely on-site due to your proximity to one of our locations.

, you will play a key role in how we collect, structure, and transform data into valuable insights.

Your focus will be on building the bridge between business and technology:
You engage with stakeholders from Marketing, Finance, Product, and Operations, understand their requirements, challenge assumptions, and translate them into data solutions that create real business value. You design KPIs, develop dashboards, onboard additional departments into our BI systems, and ensure that, in the long run, everyone in the company can make data-driven decisions.

Alongside your role as a communicator, you remain technically hands-on. You build robust data pipelines, model and transform data, and ensure data quality. At the same time, you drive automation and establish efficient, scalable processes within our modern BI stack.

This role is more than just BI engineering: you will help expand and strengthen a central data interface within the company – and become the face behind our data.

Your personality, paired with:

Must-haves

• 6+ years of experience in BI Engineering, Data Analytics, or as an Analytics Engineer
• Strong SQL skills and experience in data modeling, transformation, and optimization
• Solid expertise with the BI stack (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Big Query, Looker, Power BI)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – from requirements gathering to presenting insights to non-technical audiences
• Experience balancing technical work (pipelines, data models) with business-facing tasks (reporting, dashboards, KPIs)
• High sense of ownership, assertiveness, and the ability to drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
• Excellent written and spoken English

Should-haves

• Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools (Airflow, Talend, or low-code tools such as n8n/Make)
• Strong knowledge of KPI frameworks, data visualization, and dashboard design

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Python, R, or advanced SQL
• German language skills
• Experience in SaaS, cloud hosting, or subscription-based business models
