Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of our data infrastructure. In this role, you will play a critical part in defining our long-term data strategy, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring our platform scales efficiently as we grow. Deep expertise in AWS services and modern data architectures is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable and secure data architectures on AWS
  .
• Define and maintain the enterprise-wide data architecture vision in alignment with business goals.
• Lead the design and implementation of data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time streaming pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ensure consistent and high-quality data delivery.
• Implement data governance, security, lineage, and cataloging frameworks across all data assets.
• Evaluate and select appropriate data storage, compute, and processing tools from the AWS ecosystem.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analysts.
• Establish best practices for data modeling, integration, and data quality.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in cloud data architecture and recommend innovations.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
• Proven track record designing and scaling data systems in a product-based environment

• Expert-level knowledge of AWS data services (e.g., Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, S3, Athena, Kinesis, EMR).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data modeling (OLAP/OLTP), and data pipeline orchestration.
• Experience with modern data tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Snowflake) is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with GDPR and other data compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Fluent in English;
  German is a plus.
