Huawei's Munich Research Center focuses on advanced technology research, architectural development, design, and strategic engineering. The Automotive Engineering Lab (AEL) specializes in advanced automotive technologies and is expanding rapidly.

We are seeking an experienced UXUI Designer for our team working on intelligent cockpit systems, focusing on user experiences for AI-powered conversational features. The ideal candidate will have expertise in automotive digital interface design (GUI) and voice interaction/conversational UI (VUI/CUI), with a user-centric approach.

Your role involves collaborating with global UX teams and development communities, exploring future trends in vehicle HMI design, AI UX, and product innovation in Vehicle Intelligent Cockpit.

• Identifying UXUI opportunities in AI-enabled in-car HMI systems through user value, technology trends, and competitor analysis.
• Incubating innovative UX features, advocating for user experience in R&D, and inspiring multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Translating technical frameworks into user-friendly interfaces and improving usability.
• Delivering high-quality design concepts, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and presentations.
• Collaborating with HQ UX and R&D teams.
• Mentoring junior designers.

• Master’s or higher in UX/UI design, HMI/HCI, product design, multimedia, or equivalent.
• At least 6 years in Automotive HMI or consumer UI design.
• Experience with Voice interaction or AI UI design, understanding AI capabilities.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI work on real products.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, AE, Proto Pie, PowerPoint.
• Experience in interactive demos and user testing preferred.
• Experience with generative AI tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English;
  Mandarin is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to China (~20%).
