We actively drive AI transformation as part of BMW Group IT. Our team of strategists, architects, and developers designs innovative data and AI platforms and implements projects that create tangible value for customers and the organization.

• You develop, train, validate, and optimize AI/ML models for production-grade automotive use cases – from initial prototype to long-term operation.
• You work hands‑on with large‑scale, heterogeneous engineering, vehicle, and business data, transforming it into high‑performing models.
• You take responsibility for model performance, robustness, explainability, and lifecycle management in real business environments.
• You deploy models into productive systems, monitor their behavior, and continuously improve them based on real‑world feedback.
• You collaborate closely with data stewards, platform engineers, and architects to ensure scalable and compliant AI solutions.
• You actively contribute to lighthouse use cases and help establish best practices for industrial‑grade AI development at BMW.

• University degree in computer science, data science, AI, mathematics, physics, or comparable qualifications.
• At least five years of professional experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML models in a business or industrial setting.
• Proven success in bringing models from research or prototype stage into productive, value‑generating operations. Experienced working within agile, cross‑functional teams with a strong sense of ownership and delivery focus.
• Strong expertise in modern ML methods (e.g. deep learning, time series, NLP, multimodal models) and their practical limitations.
• Hands‑on experience with Python‑based ML stacks and production environments (training, inference, monitoring).
• Solid understanding of data quality, bias, robustness, and compliance requirements for enterprise AI systems.
• Very good written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of German, both written and spoken, is an advantage.
