We are looking for a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to design, secure, and operate our robust development infrastructure across on-premise and Azure environments. In this role, you will help drive our evolution towards Platform Engineering by enabling self‑service capabilities, automation, and a secure software delivery lifecycle. You will be part of a cross‑site, Kanban‑driven Dev Sec Ops team spanning Germany and India, supporting more than 200 developers while helping to ensure secure and reliable product delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Own the development platform:
Manage, scale, and evolve our development infrastructure, tools, and platform services across on‑premises and cloud environments, with Azure Dev Ops as the CI/CD backbone - Automate infrastructure delivery:
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Ansible and Terraform to ensure scalable, repeatable, and reliable platform deployments. - Build secure CI/CD pipelines:
Implement and maintain multi‑stage pipelines with integrated security controls, quality gates, and automated testing, following Dev Sec Ops best practices. - Establish AI capabilities:
Build and evolve platforms, tooling, and processes for agentic AI solutions, AI‑enabled engineering, and self‑hosted LLM services. - Observability:
Establish and evolve monitoring, logging and alerting to ensure operational excellence. - Mentor & collaborate:
Work closely with development teams in Germany and India, promote engineering standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. - Operational excellence:
Create documentation, runbooks, and knowledge assets while participating in incident response and critical delivery activities.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Solid understanding of Dev Sec Ops principles, secure software delivery, vulnerability management, and security automation.
- Proven experience with hybrid infrastructure environments based on VMware ESXi/vSphere and Microsoft Azure.
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code, like Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with containerized application platforms and Open Shift environments.
- Familiarity building or operating internal developer platforms, self‑service solutions, or shared engineering platforms.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
- Experience leveraging AI tools in daily engineering workflows to improve productivity, automation, and knowledge sharing.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across international teams and IT disciplines, including infrastructure, networking, security, and cloud.
