Senior Environmental Test Engineer (m/f/x) – Mynaric

We are looking for a Senior Environmental Test Engineer to help us ensure our laser communication hardware is ready for space. This role is about collaborative problem‑solving and shared success.

You will work closely with our team of experts to tackle complex technical challenges. Your role will be to strengthen our testing capabilities and processes through a hands‑on, collaborative approach.

• You will lead or participate in environmental test campaigns, with a focus on thermal and thermal‑vacuum (TVAC), from planning and procedure development to data analysis and report writing.
• You will design and build new test beds from the ground up and improve and maintain existing ones, working with the team to expand and keep our in‑house capabilities.
• You will work with our Automation Test Engineers to automate our test processes and data acquisition systems, with a strong focus on LabVIEW.
• You will act as a technical mentor and coordinator, sharing your knowledge while actively learning from your colleagues’ expertise in adjacent fields like mechanical or electronics testing.
• You will help refine and document our test procedures and make sure our requirements are being rigorously verified, to ensure our approach is as robust as our hardware.

• A university degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant hands‑on experience in environmental testing, especially thermal and thermal‑vacuum testing.
• Proven ability to develop and operate complex test beds and automated test setups.
• Practical experience with using LabVIEW for test automation and data acquisition.
• Experience with data handling, analysis, and process development. Python skills are a plus.
• A foundational knowledge of electronics for troubleshooting test setups is highly beneficial.
