The Danieli Group is a world leading company in the production of steel plants. To strengthen the technology team of our HQ, for the development, engineering and supply of steel production plants, we are looking for a Process Technologist - Senior (Germany). We are looking for people with technical training, attentive to innovation, motivated and interested in developing their skills and potential.

Responsibilities:

Define the hot rolling process of steel strips and sheets in relation to the methods and equipment to be used.

Develop complex simulations of the hot rolling process.

Develop calculations and documentation to be used to prepare the configuration of the rolling plant.

Define the expected performance of the plant.

Support the technical-commercial activities with the preparation of contractual technical documentation and their discussion during meetings with the customer.

Prepare order documentation to support the mechanical, electrical and automation design activities.

Support the commissioning activity remotely and on site until the performance and plant acceptance are achieved.

Collect and classify the process parameters of the running plants and tune the mathematical models of off-line calculation.

Team work and continuous comparison on problems and critical issues and coordinate the team of process specialists assigned to him.

Benchmark the available alternative technology and identify possible improvements and developments of the Danieli solutions by proposing patents to protect the proprietary technology.

Technical Requirements:

Degree in engineering/technical field (e.g. chemistry, metallurgy, materials, mechanics).

At least 5 years of experience in the steel sector.

At least 3 years of experience in steel processing studies, process simulation and project development.

Knowledge of the main mechanical processes.

Soft Skills:

Versatility and results-oriented.

Organization and coordination skills.

Excellent knowledge of the English language.

Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.

Availability for international business trips.
