Contract: 6-month contract (immediate start)
Location: Remote

The Test Concept Engineer will be responsible for defining, reviewing, and optimizing test concepts for automotive microcontroller components at the IP and product level. This role has a direct impact on component-level quality, cost, and time-to-market, covering mixed-signal, digital, and high-speed interface technologies.

• Develop and maintain IP-level and product-level test concept documents in alignment with Infineon automotive processes.
• Collaborate with DFT experts and design teams to select appropriate DFT structures that balance time-to-market, test cost, and quality.
• Ensure optimal test cost per product within the platform.
• Ensure adequate test coverage per IP, including ATPG SCAN coverage or other applicable methods.

• Lead reviews of existing test concept documents with design engineers, test concept engineers, and DFT specialists.
• Document review outcomes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, or over testing/overscreening.
• Propose and implement improvements to test concepts based on review findings.
• Support product and test engineering teams during ATE test implementation, providing clarification and technical guidance.

• Operate within TSMC-relevant processes when required.

• Updated and optimized test concept documentation.

• Improved test concept strategies addressing cost, coverage, and efficiency.
• Ongoing engineering support during ATE implementation and validation.

• Strong understanding of semiconductor device testing (analog, digital, mixed-signal).
• Knowledge of microcontroller architectures and automotive applications.
• Hands-on experience with DFT (Design for Testability) methods such as BIST and boundary scan.
• Background in chip design, simulation, validation, verification, and characterization.
• Experience creating and reviewing test concepts and methodologies.
• Familiarity with automotive standards including ISO
  16949, ISO
  9001, ISO
  26262, and AEC-Q100.
• Understanding of automotive quality requirements and reliability expectations.
• Experience with change management, requirements management, FMEA, and structured problem-solving.
• Ability to develop high-parallel test concepts and contribute to test cost reduction strategies.
• Skilled in test coverage analysis and gap-closure solutions.
• Comfortable with statistical analysis methods and tools.
