Freelance Project Manager

I'm working with a leading renewable energy developer delivering utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and grid infrastructure projects across Germany.

They're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery, testing and energisation of a major energy storage project based in Munich.

• Lead project delivery for utility-scale BESS or grid infrastructure projects from construction through to commercial operation.
• Manage project plans, schedules, budgets and risk across the full delivery lifecycle.
• Coordinate EPC contractors, OEMs, grid operators and project stakeholders through construction, commissioning and energisation.
• Oversee quality, testing and validation of battery systems, PCS, transformers, SCADA and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and industry standards.
• Manage punch-list items, defects and final handover documentation.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on utility-scale BESS, renewable energy or power/grid infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV electrical systems and grid-connected assets.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, OEMs and commissioning teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• EU work eligibility and willingness to be site-based in Munich.
